Area Sales Manager France
Our German client is a leading European provider of customized plastic compounds. The company operates state-of-the-art production facilities and compounds, refines, and modifies polymers for customer-specific applications. Its broad product portfolio of functionally modified plastics ranges from commodity materials to engineering compounds and thermoplastic elastomers. We are looking for you to drive a systematic and target-oriented market development approach, with a strong focus on acquiring new customers and developing additional applications for technical plastic compounds, particularly in the packaging and automotive industries.
Your responsibilities
- Systematic and target-oriented market development (customer and project acquisition) within the assigned sales territory in France
- Identification, development, and support of key accounts, key contacts, and OEMs within the assigned region
- Active commercial and technical customer support, including managing customer communication and representing our client on-site
- Continuous and target-driven growth of revenue within the assigned customer base, with a focus on value creation
- Regular profitability and sales analyses and planning; initiation and follow-up of corrective actions where required
- Support in market and competitor analysis and reporting within the organization; assistance in handling customer complaints
- Support of RFQ processes and preparation, submission, and follow-up of project-related quotations
Your profile
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in sales, ideally in:
- Automotive industry (French Tier 1 suppliers or OEMs)
- Packaging industry
- Electrical & electronics industry
- Strong sales capabilities(negotiation skills, closing strength, customer orientation)
- Excellent language skills:
- French: native level
- English: fluent
- German: an advantage
